About
Ariadna Lázaro Palacios was born in Barcelona in 1995. She completed her Bachelor of Chemistry in 2017 at the University of Barcelona, where she obtained her Master of Applied Materials Chemistry in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Margarita Crespo Vicente from the Synthesis and Characterization of Cyclometallated compounds group from the Department of Inorganic Chemistry.
In 2023 she completed her PhD in Organic Chemistry entitled “Cyclometallated platinum compounds: optical and biological applications” under the supervision of Prof. Laura Rodríguez Raurell and Dr. Margarita Crespo in the Supra- and Nanostructured systems from the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Barcelona.
During her PhD, she was involved in organic and organometallic synthesis and characterization as well as the use of several photophysical techniques, also in periods abroad in the University of Coimbra (Prof. Sergio J. Seixas de Melo) and Durham University (Dr. Fernando B. Dias).
In September 2023 she moved to Karlsruhe to join Prof. Luisa De Cola’s Group in the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology as a post-doctoral researcher, where she is currently working in the synthesis and characterization of electrochemiluminescent iridium compounds.
