Luigi Menduti obtained his Master Degree in Industrial Chemistry in 2018, working on the synthesis of benzodithiophene-based triarylboranes under the supervision of Prof. Emanuela Licandro. In his master, he also pent four months at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt in the group of Prof. Wagner, working on boron-doped PAHs within (Erasmusprogramme).

In 2019 he started his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Emanuela Licandro and Prof. Dr.Matthias Wagner within a cotutelle programme.
His project focused on the synthesis of boron-doped thiahelicenes and it was carried out in part at the University of Milan and in part at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt (one year).

In 2023 he joined the group of Prof. Luisa De Cola as post-doc.
His skills include the synthesis and characterization of heterocyclic and organometallic molecules as well as the use, preparation and purification of pyrophoric and/or sensitive compounds.
