About
Tania Pecoraro was born in 28/10/1996 in Pompei(NA). In 2018 she received her bachelor of science in chemistry at Alma Mater Studiorum at University of Bologna under the supervision of prof. Daria Giacomini discussing the thesis “Beta-lactam as drug cargo”.
In December 2020 she received in the same university her master of science in chemistry, curriculum of organic chemistry, with full score under the supervision of prof. Daria Giacomini discussing the thesis “Synthesis of two different theranostic systems with beta-lactam carriers”.
At the beggining of February 2021 she moved to Milan for starting a fellowship with the Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri, under the supervision of Professor Luisa De Cola. Her work was focus on the synthesis and the development of systems that are able to self-assembly with the aim to use them as lable for immaging in vivo. Since October 2021 she is a Phd student at University of Milano.
Her reaserch topics are mainly focused on organometallic synthesis, above all on the building of supramolecular assemblies by metallophilic interactions in platinum coordination compounds and on the study of the effects of the assembly over their photophysical and biological activity
